Matthew Skau

As a senior associate attorney at Eastside DUI, Matthew Skau focuses on DUI defense, criminal cases, and traffic-related matters throughout the Puget Sound region. His extensive experience as both a prosecutor and defense attorney gives him a well-rounded understanding of Washington’s criminal justice process, and how to secure a positive outcome for his clients.

Before joining Eastside DUI, Matthew served as a municipal and county prosecutor in multiple Western Washington jurisdictions, handling a wide range of criminal and traffic offenses. His time in prosecution taught him how cases are built and negotiated, knowledge he now applies to defending those accused of similar charges.

Matthew earned his Juris Doctor from Seattle University School of Law, along with a Master’s Degree in International Studies and a Bachelor’s Degree in English from the University of Washington. He is a member of the Washington State Bar Association and has been recognized by Avvo for maintaining strong client satisfaction ratings.
